ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implementing industrial safety standards while repairing stainless steel vacuum insulated cryogenic cylinders and periodically fabricating structural carbon steel production shop projects.

Typically welding Types 304 and 201 stainless steels averaging 3/16-inch thickness.

Interact in a coordinated manner with other production activities to meet daily output requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in written or oral form.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Read and interpret blueprint and sketches.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

General Education Diploma.

 EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 5 years related direct welding and fabrication experience is mandatory.

TIG, MIG, ARC, Braze, Solder, Cutting and Fabrication background a must.

Use and safe operation of Disc Grinder, Bench Grinder, Cut-Off Saw, Drill Press and Common Hand Tools. 

 Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

AWS Certification(s) required for TIG 4F, MIG 4F and ARC 6G.

Knowledge of ASME Unfired Pressure Vessel Code a major plus.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to direct lift up to 75 lbs. routinely and up to 175 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to maneuver tanks weighing up to 430 lbs. and up to 6 ft. tall.

Interaction:

 The Refurb Center will be a Team Oriented Operation that will require all individuals to work together effectively.
