Job Description
Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Technician - Delivery Truck Driver to join our team located in North Charleston, SC. The Warehouse Technician - Delivery Truck Driver will be responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting products into and out of a warehouse. Under supervision and established guidelines, the Warehouse Technician - Delivery Truck Driver will handle the day-to-day tasks of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and Truck Driver responsibilities (as needed).
Responsibilities
- Provides outstanding customer service to internal and external customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner
- Interacts with shipping companies, purchasing, and branch management
- Directs non-standard issues and customer inquiries to senior personnel
- Follows Linde safety procedures and encourages others to do the same
- Safely operates forklift or other machinery to load, unload, sort, stage and transport product
- Prepares orders by processing requests, and placing orders in delivery area and or on pallets and in trucks
- Maintains a clean work environment by keeping area free of trash, sweeping, and placing product and work supplies in correct locations.
- Fills in as a backup Truck Driver to cover location’s routes and hot shot deliveries (as needed)
- Other duties as assigned
Skills / Requirements
Requirements
- High School Degree or GED is required
- 2+ years of Warehouse experience is preferred
- 1+ years delivery experience is also preferred
- General computer skills; Microsoft Excel and Word
- Forklift experience
- CDL A or B license preferred
- Current Hazmat Endorsement on CDL or ability to obtain Hazmat Endorsement within 60 days of hire
