OVERVIEW

NuCO2, the largest, best, and only national provider of beverage grade CO2 to the Foodservice and Hospitality Industry is a growth company. 

This position has responsibilities for planning, directing and leading operations in the areas of distribution, refurbishment of assets, and maintenance to ensure the required business objectives and strategies for the NuCO2 business unit of LGUS are met in a safe and environmentally compliant manner. 

 POSITION SCOPE

 This position defines the plans, objectives, and priorities for the operations and distribution for the NuCO2 facilities located throughout the United States.  This seasoned individual has expert knowledge of principles and practices within operations and distribution, and an understanding of business strategies and culture, and works to achieve results and drive performance on a national basis.

 ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Directs organization of approximately 800 to execute operational requirements, change and/or process improvements.
  • Focuses on creating the optimal organizational structure through employee development and organizational strengthening.
  • Creates and manages complex operational plans that result in the accomplishment of business objectives.
  • Directs and leads complex or unusual assignments across functional areas.
  • Establishes goals, promotes decision-making, delegates as appropriate and overcomes obstacles.
  • Works with strategic independence, conferring with Senior and Executive Management on more complex or unusual assignments.
  • Monitors external/internal trends, develops procedures, makes judgments and takes organization-wide actions that set precedents.
  • Staff, train, coach, and administer performance reviews, salary increases and corrective action of subordinate employees.
  • Ensures compliance to all safety policies and procedures, leads operational discipline throughout NuCO2 and management organizations, works closely with the SH&E organization in achieving established goals.
  • Ensures compliance with all local, state, federal, and NuCO2/Linde policies regarding environmental, permitting, and product quality requirements.
  • Works across all levels of NuCO2 organization to achieve desired results into a cohesive and effective management team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8-10 years in an operations or manufacturing environment, experience within the industrial gases industry is strongly preferred.
  • Must possess proven leadership, team building, and decision-making skills.
  • Must be reliability and efficiency focused and possess strong planning and execution skills.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforce to achieve desired results.
  • ~25-50% travel required within United States to visit facilities, suppliers and customers.
  • Results oriented with a proven record of exceeding objectives, who possesses strong work ethic, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed business acumen in order to effectively balance the creative work required with the analytical requirements of the position.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.  MS office – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
  • Engineering degree preferred
INTERACTION:

They will interact with all levels of the organization as well as external customers.
