NuCO2 is seeking an innovative and results-driven Operations Training Manager to spearhead the development and continuous improvement of our training programs. In this remote role, you will design, produce, and implement comprehensive training curricula and multimedia learning resources for new hires including area managers, depot managers, drivers, technicians, and entry-level technicians. In addition, you will be responsible for developing specialized training programs for technicians, expanding our driver training initiatives, and creating engaging safety content in collaboration with the safety department. This position requires up to 25% travel to produce training videos and deliver on-site instruction.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and develop engaging, role-specific training curricula for new hires across various functions, including area managers, depot managers, drivers, technicians, and entry-level technicians.
  • Create high-quality training videos and multimedia content using modern software tools (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro) and professional camera, audio, and lighting equipment (Canon, DJI) to facilitate effective learning.
  • Develop specialized programs including a comprehensive technician training program and an expanded driver training initiative tailored to the evolving needs of the transportation industry.
  • Collaborate with the safety department to develop, maintain, and update safety training content and communication materials for the entire organization.
  • Produce engaging safety videos, eLearning modules, and written guidelines that align with best practices, regulatory requirements, and NuCO2’s safety culture.
  • Ensure that safety messaging is effectively integrated within broader training programs to promote a safe work environment.
  • Establish a recurring training schedule to ensure ongoing professional development, regulatory compliance, and refresher courses for all operations personnel.
  • Implement and manage the Elevate learning management systems to deliver, track, and report on training activities and employee progress.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness by analyzing performance metrics, gathering participant feedback, and adapting curricula to maximize learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Operations, Safety, and the executive team to identify training needs, align content with strategic objectives, and ensure consistency in delivery across the organization.
  • Facilitate virtual training sessions and remote workshops to engage geographically dispersed teams while maintaining high standards of instruction.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time as needed to produce training videos, conduct on-site training sessions, and participate in key meetings with cross-functional team.
  • Track mandatory and recurring training records to ensure compliance with industry regulations and prepare detailed progress reports for leadership
  • Leverage advanced training tools such as interactive simulations, webinars, and mobile learning platforms to foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment

 

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field is preferred

Experience::

  • 3-5 years of experience in a training or learning and development role, preferably within the transportation, logistics, military, or related sectors
  • Proven experience in creating digital training content and implementing training programs in a remote environment; experience developing safety training materials is a plus
  • Experience using video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) with expertise in scriptwriting, narration, voiceover work, and storyboarding to produce high-quality video content that facilitates effective learning, including creating detailed shot lists based on scripts
  • Proficient in operating DSLR or mirrorless cameras and associated hardware (e.g. gimbals, microphones, tripods, lenses, lighting equipment) to capture professional-grade video footage
  • Skilled in operating professional camera and drone equipment (e.g. Canon, DJI) to capture high-quality video footage
  • FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone Operators License preferred
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Products (e.g. Microsoft Automate, Power BI, Excel) to develop and maintain resources and automate processes
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and virtual training platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams)
