Local Delivery Driver (CDL A)
What you will enjoy doing*
- You are expected to provide a high standard of customer service during deliveries, including unloading products, moving them to customer use points, and reloading returned empty cylinders
- Drive for approximately 30 percent of the day, with the remainder spent on delivery tasks, cylinder handling, shipping paperwork, customer interactions, and vehicle inspections
- Accurately count and record quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
- you will complete hazardous material shipping orders in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations
- Placard vehicles according to hazardous material regulations and company standards
- Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, identifying and ensuring timely repairs and maintenance
- You are going to operate various equipment including straight trucks, tractor/trailers, and forklifts
- Regularly engage with internal teams and external customers to support operational goals
What makes you great
- You hold a valid Class A commercial driver’s license with tanker and hazardous materials endorsements
- Maintain at least five years of driving experience with no preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two years
- Have no alcohol-related convictions within the last ten years
- You possess a current medical examiner’s certificate or the ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading and writing in English
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development certificate
- You are at least 21 years of age or older
