Local Delivery Driver (CDL A)

What you will enjoy doing*

  • You are expected to provide a high standard of customer service during deliveries, including unloading products, moving them to customer use points, and reloading returned empty cylinders
  • Drive for approximately 30 percent of the day, with the remainder spent on delivery tasks, cylinder handling, shipping paperwork, customer interactions, and vehicle inspections
  • Accurately count and record quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
  • you will complete hazardous material shipping orders in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations
  • Placard vehicles according to hazardous material regulations and company standards
  • Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, identifying and ensuring timely repairs and maintenance
  • You are going to operate various equipment including straight trucks, tractor/trailers, and forklifts
  • Regularly engage with internal teams and external customers to support operational goals

What makes you great

  • You hold a valid Class A commercial driver’s license with tanker and hazardous materials endorsements
  • Maintain at least five years of driving experience with no preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two years
  • Have no alcohol-related convictions within the last ten years
  • You possess a current medical examiner’s certificate or the ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading and writing in English
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development certificate
  • You are at least 21 years of age or older
  • Uphold a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer-focused service, thriving in a diverse and inclusive team environment where your unique perspective is valued
