We have an immediate need for a Flex Driver, Technician who is responsible for traveling to various locations across the United States to deliver CO2 and complete the installation of equipment to support our customer needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • The Flex Driver, Technician will be required to fulfill the requirements of a Delivery Driver or Installer / Technician, within the specified District or other Districts, as needed. 
  • Read all e-mails and respond as necessary in a professional and timely manner.
  • Review DCI (Driver Check In) to complete installations, tank pulls, tank swaps, and any service requests, or perform required deliveries.
  • Meet required daily and weekly KPI’s for delivery, installation, or service activities.
  • Inspect vehicle to ensure Safety and DOT compliance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight stays as needed and flexibility to travel with minimal notice. 
  • Follow all Safety and operational requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • CDL – Minimum Class B with 1-year commercial driving experience.
  • HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements and DOT Medical Card required.
  • Must have a clean driving record that meets NuCO2’s Safety Point System.
  • Mechanical ability and basic knowledge of building construction process required.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret established SOP’s, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Have basic knowledge of the permitting procedures, where applicable.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to wear all required PPE as required.
  • Must be able to lift 55 pounds and frequently maneuver (pull/push) 56 - 175 pounds.
  • Must be able to occasionally maneuver an appliance dolly with CO2 tanks weighing up to 750 lbs.
  • Ability to climb in and out of truck multiple times a day.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces while reaching over head.
  • Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, and crawling.
  • Must be able to work at different height levels.

Education

  • Associates
  • High School

Experience

  • year: Strong mechanical ability and basic knowledge of building construction process required. Previous experience in plumbing, cable installation, or construction experience preferred.
  • 1 year: Minimum of 1 year commercial driving experience in a similar vehicle in the past 3 years
  • 2 year: A minimum of two years experience as a supervisor preferred
  • 1 year: Commercial Driving
